fog system The RELDAIR Fog System can therefore also be referred to as a made-to-measure system. Users can calculate how many nozzles are required per crop and per glasshouse and where they have to be fitted in order to achieve an optimal result. Moreover, the nozzles can be fitted in different \'situations\', that is using couplings in order to turn them into different positions, with extension pipes and in combinations of 1 to 4 nozzles.In the case of the fan fog system the nozzles are fitted to the fan. It is possible to select fans with larger or smaller capacities and larger or smaller ranges depending on the situation. The fan fog system is less uniform, but is generally cheaper and extremely suitable for large areas with low-lying crops. A further advantage of this system is that the fans can also be used without nozzles as re-circulation fans. In other words, this system gives you two functions for the price of one.It is possible to divide the glasshouse into various sections so that a different level of humidity can be set for each section. The systems in these sections can, if so desired, be operated manually or automatically.Growers know their crops and we are the \'fog masters\'. Together we can determine what the humidity demand is and how this can be met. Together we can also solve any problems that may occur. We know, just as growers do, how important it is for a system to continue working once it is operational. To ensure that this is the case, RELDAIR monitors the quality of all the parts used and issues maintenance instructions. Moreover, RELDAIR can, if so desired, arrange a maintenance contract.

RELDAIR Fog-Systems were invented to meet the demand for a solid and reliable system to control the relative humidity. The result was a very high pressure (120 BAR/1,800 p.s.i.) system that makes fine mist- droplets less than 10 micron- thereby controlling the relative humidity without wetting the plants. The first RELDAIR Fog-Systems were installed in greenhouses in the Netherlands in 1988 and they are still functioning well. Since then a lot of progressive and international operating growers and researchers, like for example Anthura b.v., Nunhem Seeds, Koninklijke Visser, several research institutes and others like the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Keukenhof, have chosen for our system.When the inventor of the RELDAIR Fog-Systems took over the firm in 1991, he adapted the system to fulfil another need of growers, i.e. the reduction of temperature in their greenhouses without loss of humidity. This adaptation led to an extension of the market to poultry- and turkey farms, tree nurseries and greenhouses in tropical and subtropical climates (Canary Islands, North Africa, Portugal, Japan, Greece, Cyprus etc.). RELDAIR Fog-Systems also developed a custom designed system for storage rooms (above as well as under 0°C). RELDAIR has concluded a successful experiment in stench suppression in co-operation with Ecosorb and has installed several systems in the recycling business and other areas that need a cheap solution to the problem of stench. Currently, RELDAIR is doing research in dust suppression.Whatever the market, the aim is to make a solid and reliable system that is custom designed, doesn't need a lot of maintenance and is easy to install. This aim, combined with a customer friendly policy, has led to a fast increase in sales during the last few years, in the Netherlands as well as abroad. Although this has led to an increase in employees and a move to new premises, we still make it our business to keep communication lines with customers as short as possible in order to give them tailor-made advice.For publicity we mainly give demonstrations and lectures and we attend shows like the NTV in Amsterdam, the Hortex, IPM Essen and the VIV.
