Bejo Seeds, the specialist in vegetable seed, decided in 2003 to purchase an air humidifying system. According to Mr. P. Wijnker, the reason to opt for the RELDAIR fog system was the extremely fine mist. Mr. Wijnker: “We can limit the dehydration of products, such as cabbage, carrots and chicory considerably. In spring the pump unit is moved from the cold store to the greenhouse in order to optimise the relative humidity and temperature.”

OPRINS PLANT

OPRINS PLANT is a prominent nursery with a production surface area of 100 hectare in Belgium. The BAMBOOS that have been cultivated in vitro are further cultivated in the hardening glasshouse and later sold all over the world. John Oprins: “ The major advantage of the RELDAIR fog system is that the system enables us to level off peaks in the temperature.” According to John Oprins “our dealer was familiar with the system and his positive experiences have meanwhile been proven”. OPRINS PLANT has opted for the FANFOG system and is meanwhile very happy about the excellent distribution, the virtual lack of precipitation and the advantage in terms of the temperature of at least 5 degrees Celsius.

“The temperature underneath the sprig foil often rose too much during the summer months. This led to a poor rooting of the shrub sprigs and conifer sprigs“, according to Martin Vorderman. “The solution is the RELDAIR fog system,” says Martin. A fine mist; and so virtually no wet spots and fewer problems with tip decay. A major advantage of the system is that we can quickly and easily inspect the sprigs, as we no longer need to lift off the plastic. Martin Vorderman: “With the RELDAIR fog system, we can now slip certain crops in the summer that we traditionally only slipped in the autumn. The rooting process goes off just fine”. The pump unit is sturdy and compact. What’s more, installing the system in the greenhouse does not require a lot of pipes and nozzles.
“Thanks to our adequate climate control in combination with the humidifying system, we do not experience any problems even at temperatures of over 30 degrees Celsius“. By adding 2 nozzles, Mr. Vorderman achieved a better distribution of the mist, as a result of which it was possible to facilitate a more even growth of the sprig material.

PH Koning Pot Plant Cultures has been a satisfied user of the RELDAIR fog system since as early as the end of the 80s. After 14,000 hours of operation, it was decided in 2002 to once again invest in a RELDAIR Fog System for the new Phalaenopsis company. A large part of the greenhouse is equipped with the FANFOG system and the fixed nozzle system is used to humidify a smaller part of the greenhouse. Both systems are operated by one large pump unit that is equipped with a frequency regulator that makes it possible to dose the ideal moisture input per department. Piet Koning: “An extremely fine mist ensures a constant climate in terms of relative humidity and temperature”. The operational safety, the service and the good advice were reasons to once again opt for the RELDAIR Fog System, in addition to the made-to-measure installation. It is a system with a relatively low level of maintenance.”
In response to the question on the weakness of the RELDAIR fog system, Mr. Koning answers: “The steep purchase price, but that is also the strength of the system in the long run, because it is durable, reliable and sound. Only a durable system can operate for a period of 15 years”.

VISSER CONTAINERS AND RECYCLING HARLINGEN

Uses high pressure fog to suppress dust since the beginning of 2007. According to Jelle Visser they first did some testing themselves before deciding to buy a professional system. Dust suppression with the RELDAIR Fog System is complete and the floor doesn't get wet.
When asked about disadvantages of the system Jelle says: " I wouldn't know."

After having good experiences on location De Lier KP Holland decided to buy a RELDAIR for their location at Maasland. 7 seperate compartments are being serviced with 2 AD40 pump units.
John van Paassen : " the climate is more even and fluctuations in temperature are much less. Although the summer of 2007 was wet, the RELDAIR system has been working for more than 1500 hours. Had it been a hot summer as in 2006, then the pumps would no doubt have been working thousands of hours."
